“Ma” Prudence Jeffers - Hallett (Pet)

This patchwork quilted top is reminiscent of my mother and all that I understand her to be: bright, beautiful, and full of life and enthusiasm. Using fabrics that once belonged to her, alongside materials that evoke her presence, I constructed an aura that attempts to hold and preserve her spirit. Through color, texture, and pattern, the work becomes both a portrait and a gesture of devotion, capturing the warmth and vitality she carries.
